NVIDIA Unveils New Gaming Graphics Cards During Broadcast January 12

NVIDIA has announced that it will be hosting a live stream on January 12 to showcase its gaming and graphics innovations. The manufacturer did not explain what kind of announcements could be in question, but previous rumours pointed to several products at once that could be presented as part of the planned event.

Nvidia

One of them could be GeForce RTX 30-series gaming graphics for the next generation of gaming laptops. These laptops are likely to be powered by AMD Cezanne (Ryzen 5000) and Intel Tiger Lake-H processors. Laptops, which included Ryzen 5000 processors and mobile versions of the GeForce RTX 3080, RTX 3070  and RTX 3060, have already appeared in previous leaks.

Another announcement within the framework of the NVIDIA broadcast may be the desktop GeForce RTX 3060 video card with 12 GB of video memory, which was announced yesterday. It is expected that this new product, built on the GA106 chip, will be on sale at the end of next month. Its main competitor will be the yet unannounced AMD Radeon RX 6700 model, which may also be presented at CES 2021. It should be recalled that the planned event of AMD will also take place on January 12, at which AMD Director Lisa Su will announce new products …

According to the same rumours, NVIDIA has a version of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti with 20 GB of video memory in stock. On sale, it supposedly should appear no earlier than February next year, but the company could well announce it during the upcoming event. The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is supposed to be a more compelling answer for the Radeon RX 6900 XT and Radeon RX 6800 XT, which are equipped with 16GB of video memory.

NVIDIA’s live stream is scheduled to kick off at 12:00 p.m. ET on January 12
