OLED display market expects explosive growth in the second half of 2020
OLED sales are expected to grow substantially in the second half of this year over the first half. Resource TheElec citing data from the research company UBI Research reports that in the second half of the year 383 million of these screens will be sold for $ 28 billion.
This means that the market for such displays will grow by 107% in monetary terms, and 66% in units compared to the first half of this year. In the first six months of 2020, only 231 million OLEDs were sold. Their total cost was only $ 13.53 billion. This is, respectively, 29% and 36% less than in the second half of 2020.
It is noteworthy that the growth in sales in the second half of the year is likely to be associated with the release of the flagship smartphones Huawei Mate 40 and iPhone 12.
