Until the end of the year, the former Nissan plant will produce three models

At the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg, which came under the control of AvtoVAZ, production of Chinese FAW Bestune T77 crossovers under the Lada brand can begin in May.

This is reported by the Telegram channel “All about spare parts … and not only” with reference to its own informant: “But according to our insider, in May of this year, the former Nissan plant will begin to assemble the Bestune T77 model, a mid-size crossover from the Chinese manufacturer Besturn (a sub-brand of FAW ). It is possible that Lada logos will be sculpted on the T77, as they do now on Moskvich with Chinese JACs.

At the same time, by the fall, the enterprise should produce three different Chinese models according to the full production cycle, while at the initial stage only SKD will be carried out.

The insider also told us that none of the employees are fired or made redundant. Apart from the founder, nothing much has changed at the enterprise.

This source was one of the first (back in October last year) to report that the production of Chinese cars could be organized at the Nissan plant in St. Petersburg.
