OnePlus 5 and 5T smartphones receive updated firmware

This spring, OnePlus 5 and 5T smartphones received Oxygen OS 10 based on Android 10. However, the update contained a lot of problems, including those affecting the performance of the cellular module, as a result of which the company had to withdraw it. Now, six months later, the revised firmware is available for installation.

In the new version of the software, OnePlus has fixed the problems when recording telephone conversations, eliminated the “bug” due to which the alarm did not work when the smartphone was turned off. In addition, Google’s September security patch and Google Mobile Services package dated August this year are integrated into the latest firmware. Full-screen OnePlus 5T with new software has the ability to use new gestures to control. The most interesting innovation, however, is the addition of Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) support, allowing the OnePlus 5 and 5T to deliver noticeably better image quality.

The update will gradually roll out to users’ smartphones around the world. Those who want to try out the latest software right now can download it from the link . The package size is 235 MB.
