OnePlus 9R smartphone released: Snapdragon 870, 120-Hz AMOLED, four cameras, 65-W charging and a price of $ 550

Aside from the uncompromising OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro flagships, the Chinese company has unveiled the advanced 9R smartphone that can offer last year’s best devices’ performance at a more affordable price. It received simpler cameras than the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro and a less powerful chipset.

The smartphone’s heart is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, which is a heavily overclocked version of last year’s Snapdragon 865+. Although the chip is technologically not the newest and is made according to the 7nm technical process standards, its performance is sufficient with a margin for the most difficult tasks. The processor can be supplemented with 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. As for the drive, here, as in the older models, UFS 3.1 modules with 128 or 256 GB capacity are used. The screen is the same as in the base OnePlus 9. It’s a 6.55-inch AMOLED matrix with FullHD + resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The main camera is noticeably different from the older models. The 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 is used as the main sensor. It is complemented by a Sony IMX481 ultra-wide-angle module with a resolution of 16 megapixels, providing a viewing angle of 123 degrees. It is also worth noting a 5-megapixel sensor for macro photography and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. The front module is the same as that of the older brothers. This is Sony IMX471 with a 16MP resolution.

The OnePlus 9R boasts a 4500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack, like the older models. The device runs Android 11 with the proprietary Oxygen OS shell. The OnePlus 9R is available in black and blue.
