OnePlus has announced its entry into the PC mechanical keyboard market. The OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro mechanical keyboard will be officially released in the US and Canada on July 26 for $219.
OnePlus’ first mechanical keyboard comes in two versions: prices revealed
The standard version features polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) keycaps and optimized tactile bars. Another version – Summer Breeze – is equipped with caps made of a different Marble-mallow material. OnePlus said the material is commonly used in touch-optimized products. The manufacturer claims that the material is very durable. The Summer Breeze Edition is priced slightly higher at $239.
The keyboards support open source software such as QMK and VIA, which can provide real-time control from customizing RGB lighting effects to remapping buttons.
In the upper right corner is a knob that allows you to make some additional settings.
