OnePlus will launch a more affordable flagship OnePlus 9 Lite powered by Snapdragon 865
According to a recent leak, in addition to the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, another device will be included in the upcoming flagship family of smartphones of the Chinese company. It will be a “simplified” flagship, which will reportedly be named OnePlus 9 Lite.
It is assumed that, unlike the older versions based on Snapdragon 888, it will receive the Snapdragon 865 chipset. That’s all that is currently known about the OnePlus 9 Lite. However, speculation has been put forward that the phone will get most of the advanced features of the OnePlus 9 series, and that the use of an older but rather powerful flagship chipset will make it more attractive to buyers.
Recall that until 2020, OnePlus focused on the release of only the most productive smartphones based on advanced flagship chipsets. The company’s course has changed this year and One Plus now offers affordable Nord series smartphones. The OnePlus 9 Lite is expected to be unveiled in the first quarter of 2021 alongside the older models.
