Online svmartphone sales hit record highs in 2020

Strategy Analytics estimates that online smartphone sales accounted for approximately 24% of total smartphone sales last year. This year, it is predicted that the contribution of Internet channels will reach 28%. Thus, more than a quarter of all smartphones sold in 2020 will be purchased through online stores.It should also be noted that in general, the demand for smartphones has significantly decreased due to the spread of coronavirus infection. It is estimated that last year around 1.36 billion smart phones were shipped worldwide. This year, analysts predict , the pandemic will provoke a 15.4 percent drop in the market. As a result, shipments will drop to 1.15 billion units.
