Outriders for Google Stadia goes on sale April 1 – the same day as versions for other target platforms

Japanese publisher Square Enix in a press release on its official website, has confirmed the exact release date of the co-op shooter Outriders from the studio People Can Fly in the Google Stadia service.

Recall that the premiere of Outriders in the Google cloud service was expected after the release of the game on other target platforms until recently. As it turned out, users of the service won’t have to wait longer than others.

Square Enix announced that Outriders would go on sale for Google Stadia on April 1 this year – on the same day as the co-op shooter versions for other systems.

The Google Stadia edition will offer an exclusive Stream Connect feature that will allow players to follow friends’ gameplay in real-time through a dedicated overlay.

“We’re excited to team up with Google to bring Outriders to Stadia with exclusive features and the highest levels of performance to deliver the best experience on all supported devices,” said Jon Brooke, Co-Director of Square Enix External Studios.

Recall that on February 25 of this year, the release of the Outriders demo is planned, which will offer the beginning of the story campaign (single-player and co-op) and the transfer of progress to the release edition.

Outriders are being developed for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Google Stadia. The game was originally supposed to be released in the summer of 2020, but the premiere was postponed three times.
