It would be more correct to call it Exynos 990 Plus
Samsung is preparing to announce its flagship Galaxy Note20 series of tablets next week. However, sources continue to report all new information about new products.
Overclocked SoC Exynos 990 in Samsung Galaxy Note20 will not yield to Snapdragon 865 Plus
Samsung’s flagship smartphones are expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC, but in some markets, the smartphones will be powered by the Samsung Exynos 990 chipset. Sources claim this is an improved version of the Exynos 990, which would be more accurately called the Exynos 990 Plus. The updated single-chip system will be very different from the Exynos 990, which was used in some smartphones in the Galaxy S20 line.
The refreshed Exynos 990 chipset is reportedly optimized for improved performance, so it will be on par with Qualcomm’s recently announced Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC. However, so far this information has not been confirmed by anything, so it is worth waiting for the release of new products and the results of real tests.
The Samsung Galaxy Note20 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch, 2400 x 1080 pixel display with a 60Hz refresh rate. The main camera is expected to use three image sensors with a resolution of 12, 12, and 16 megapixels.
The smartphone will be equipped with Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth 5 modules, GPS and NFC, IP68 protection, stereo speakers, and dual SIM support. The device will run the Android 10 operating system out of the box with Samsung One UI. The battery capacity should be 4300 mAh.
The price should start at 1173 dollars.
