Owners of Samsung The Frame TVs got an interesting opportunity for free – to see 12 art masterpieces that disappeared without a trace, including works by Van Gogh, Cézanne and Monet. The virtual exhibition “The Lost Masterpieces”, which will run until February 10 next year, is organized by Samsung UK in collaboration with ARCA (Association for Research into Crimes against Art) and exhibition curator Dr. Noah Charney. For the first time, the exhibition brings together digital reproductions of mysteriously disappeared works of art.

Every year, paintings disappear around the world with a total value of several million euros. The exhibition aims to educate people around the world about the lost richness of painting, and the features of The Frame TV make it possible to “democratize art”. According to the manufacturer, the frame design of the device fits perfectly into the interior, and the multimedia art gallery, available at the Art Store, turns the TV with QLED 4K panel into a kind of window into the world of art.

Not without an interactive element: art lovers and amateur detectives can take part in the search for masterpieces on social networks by sharing their theory using the hashtag #MissingMasterpieces.
