Parler will return to the App Store three months after removal
Parler, caught in the middle of the scandal, will return to the App Store next week. The developers agreed to block some of the content that does not comply with the platform’s rules. Writes about this The Verge.
According to Apple, they held “meaningful negotiations” with Parler, following which several changes were proposed to align the service with App Store policies. The company will create a special algorithm that will hide inappropriate information from users. How exactly the system will work is not reported.
The publication also does not specify what content is in question. While it is known that blocking will not be cross-platform – these publications will continue to be displayed on Android devices and the web version of the service.
The scandal around Parler unfolded in early January. First, the service was removed from the App Store and Play Market. Shortly thereafter, Amazon refused to provide hosting services for the social network. The alleged reason was incitement to violence from Donald Trump supporters (Donald Trump) on the platform. After the scandal, the company changed its hosting and CEO.
