Pascal is back: new model GeForce GTX 1050 Ti presented

Japanese manufacturer Kuroutoshikou announced the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics accelerator (GF-GTX1050Ti-E4GB / SF / P2). The video card should go on sale in the local market in mid-March.

In fact, the GF-GTX1050Ti-E4GB / SF / P2 is a relabeled version of the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti StormX from Palit. It is based on the NVIDIA GP107 (Pascal) GPU with 768 CUDA cores, close to 1392 MHz. The video card is equipped with 4 GB of GDDR5 video memory with an effective frequency of 7 GHz. The graphics accelerator’s declared TDP is 75 W, so the card is not equipped with a connector for receiving additional power – it will receive all the necessary power from the PCIe connector.

Recall that the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti has first introduced 5 years ago, in 2016. In February of this year, it became known that NVIDIA decided to return the chips for the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti to production due to a serious shortage of new generation video cards. The company’s solution will at least partially satisfy the demand for low-performance discrete graphics accelerators.

According to the resource Tom’s Hardware, in the United States, there is already a surge in proposals for various models of the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. Unfortunately, the prices for these video cards are adjusted to the current market realities. If the Kuroutoshikou GeForce GTX 1050 Ti model goes on sale in Japan for 20,727 yen (about $ 190), then non-reference graphics card options in the US are currently offered from 330 to 600 dollars. Sounds crazy, especially considering that the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti’s MSRP was $ 139 five years ago.
