$270 million worth of bonds issued
Pavel Durov announced the issuance of Telegram bonds in the amount of about $ 270 million and said that instead of buying a house and an airplane, he invests in his messenger.
To fund Telegram’s continued growth until we hit breakeven, we issued approximately $270 million worth of Telegram bonds this week as an addition to our existing bonds. Once again, we were lucky to have well-known funds with a stellar reputation. I personally bought about a quarter of Telegram’s new bonds, investing tens of millions into Telegram’s growth. This is in addition to the hundreds of millions I have spent over the past 10 years to keep Telegram up and running. Some people suggested that I buy a house or a plane instead. But I prefer to stay focused on my work, not “owning” anything (well, other than Telegram, some bitcoin and some tokens).

Hundreds of millions of people have subscribed to Telegram because they need an independent messaging platform that will put its users first. It is my responsibility – and my life’s work – to continue to provide this platform.
After the issue of Telegram bonds and Durov’s statement, the Toncoin rate grew by about 3%.
Durov also said that more than 2.5 million people register on Telegram daily.
