PC version of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time requires a network connection, but pirates have already figured it out
Activision Blizzard and Toys for Bob released the action-platformer Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, but disappointed fans found that a constant connection to Battle.net was required to run the game.
The PC version of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was released exclusively on Battle.net on March 26th. Players wishing to try out the project on the platform learned that it requires a constant connection to the web to work – this is standard practice for anything launched through Battle.net. However, unlike other games on the service, there are no online elements in Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.
Besides, some players complain about errors connecting to Battle.net, due to which progress is lost. What further concerns users are the statement on the product page: “Activision does not guarantee the availability of online features and may suspend or terminate access to them at its sole discretion without notice. “
However, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was hacked just two days after release, and in the pirated version, there is no need to worry about linking the game to the Web.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time also came out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch.
