You can fix it in a third-party service

Gigabyte’s GeForce RTX 30 and RTX 40 graphics cards appear to have a common design defect that could cause physical damage to the PCB.

Considering that the problem also concerns the previous generation of GeForce, it is clearly not new, but now it has been made public by the famous blogger Louis Rossmann, who has a YouTube channel with almost 1.8 million subscribers. Rossmann is known for being an active advocate for laws related to the possibility of self-repair of various devices by users.

PCBs often crack in the same place: near the PCIe interface. In this case, the crack is often very small and imperceptible to the average user. The problem is that Gigabyte itself refuses warranty repairs in such cases, but now that the problem has been made public, perhaps something will change.

In addition, the problem can be solved even without Gigabyte: the card can be repaired in some third-party workshop. Also on the site Repair.Wiki there is a separate page describing, among other things, the repair process.
