Recall that the history of the franchise began in September 1996 (Japanese release) with the release of Revelations: Persona, an offshoot of the popular series of Japanese role-playing games Shin Megami Tensei.

As such, in the fall of 2021, the Persona series will celebrate 25 years since its inception. According to Vada, Atlus is not going to pass by such a significant date.

“Next year marks the 25th anniversary of the Persona series, and we have a lot of exciting plans that we hope you’ll be delighted with,” Wada shared with viewers at PlayStation Partner Awards 2020 Japan Asia.

There will definitely be at least one reason for fans of the series to rejoice in 2021: judging by today’s leak, the western release of Persona 5 Strikers is scheduled for February 23rd, an action offshoot of Persona 5 in the music genre.

In terms of the PlayStation Partner Awards 2020 Japan Asia, Persona 5 Royal was honored at the ceremony for 500,000 copies sold in Japan and other countries in the Asian region.

Recall that the newest release in the series is the PC version of Persona 4 Golden, released in June 2020. According to unconfirmed reports, Atlus plans to transfer Persona 3 Portable to the PC.
