Persona 5 Strikers Western Edition May Have Come Out Earlier, But Delayed Due To Coronavirus

A user of the ResetEra forum under the pseudonym Neoxon drew attention to a video of Persona 5 Strikers voice actress Cassandra Lee Morris, which, among other things, reveals the reasons for the delay in the game.

Recall that the Japanese release of Persona 5 Strikers (at home, the project is called Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers) took place in February 2020, while the western version will go on sale after more than 12 months.

According to another Persona 5 Strikers voice actress, Erika Harlacher, such a significant delay in the English-language publication is due to the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fact is that the recording of the dub for Persona 5 Strikers was scheduled for April 2020, but the start of the process was disrupted due to the introduction of quarantine measures around the world.

The team hoped to return to normal work within a few weeks, but this did not happen. I had to use a backup plan – send the equipment to the actors and record everything remotely.

Recall that from a plot point of view, Persona 5 Strikers is a continuation of Persona 5, while in gameplay terms it departs from the main game towards the music genre.

Persona 5 Strikers will go on sale February 23, 2021, for PC (Steam), PS4, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders have started on all target platforms: the cost of the standard edition will be $52.73.
