Photo of the day: the appearance of the smartphone Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra with 120x zoom

On August 11, Xiaomi will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its founding and co-founder Lei Jun will give a special speech about the path traveled, presenting at the same time the special editions of the Mi 10 and Redmi K30 Pro smartphones. A number of images of the advertising poster for Mi 10 Ultra have been published, allowing you to evaluate the design and some characteristics of the flagship.

First, they capture two versions of the new smartphone: “transparent” (more precisely – pseudo-transparent) and ceramic. Both versions are equipped with a quadruple rear camera that allows you to vary the optical focal length from ultra-wide-angle 12mm to 120mm tele (35mm equivalent). In addition, 120x digital zoom is promised for the periscope camera (however, the optical zoom will be around 4x). The main module will obviously have an aperture of f / 1.85.

By the way, in the “transparent” version, we can note the presence of NFC support, which is quite logical for a flagship. The latest leaks also report that the Mi 10 Ultra will be the first commercial product in the world to feature a full-fledged front-facing camera below the screen, meaning that it doesn’t require cutouts to function. However, it is unlikely that it will provide decent quality, and the circulation of the version with a sub-screen camera will be limited (it is possible that the Mi 10 Ultra will come out with a conventional front camera placed in the cutout). Finally, fresh reports suggest that we will be getting Mi 10 Ultra variants with 8/12 GB of RAM, as well as 256/512 GB of fast storage.

Judging by previous rumors, the smartphone will receive the most modern “filling”: this is the latest Snapdragon 865+ processor with a clock speed of up to 3.09 GHz; and a 5G modem; and a 6.67-inch Full HD + AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to support high-speed 55-watt wireless and 120-watt wired charging Quick Charge 5: this will involve two batteries of 2250 mAh each.

Recently, the head of Xiaomi confirmed that the Mi 10 Ultra will receive an antibacterial protective film glued in advance, and an antibacterial case with silver ions will be included in the package – a topical innovation against the background of current quarantine measures.
