Players faced save corruption in Watch Dogs: Legion – rescue patch is on the way

French publisher Ubisoft, at the request of the PC Gamer portal, commented on the situation around the problem of corrupted saves in the PC version of the hacker action movie Watch Dogs: Legion.

Over the past few days, users of Reddit and the official Ubisoft forum have been complaining about the loss of progress (from a few hours to an entire story campaign) as a result of an error.

The problem manifests itself in the case of an incorrect exit from Watch Dogs: Legion, which sometimes takes so long (one gamer even managed to walk the dog during this period ) that the game seems to freeze.

Those who are especially impatient in such cases decide to “help” Watch Dogs: Legion and forcefully close the application, but this action only provokes the mentioned damage to the save.

According to an unnamed Ubisoft spokesman, the French publisher is already aware of the problem described above and is working on a fix, but the rescue update will have to wait until next week.

“We are aware that some players have encountered difficulties and plan to resolve them in the upcoming patch by November 9th. In the coming days, we will share the details of the patch ”, – assured Ubisoft.

Watch Dogs: Legion went on sale on October 29 this year for PC (Uplay, Epic Games Store), PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. The game launches on Xbox Series X and S on November 10, and on PS5 on November 12.
