Recall that the updated Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was announced for PC (Uplay, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game will be released on the listed platforms on January 21, 2021.

Pre-orders have already started:

  • Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store – 1669 rubles;
  • Microsoft Store – $ 40;
  • PlayStation Store – 2999 rubles.

For pre-ordering the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, users will receive a Back to Basics kit, which includes an initial set of weapons, a Classic graphic filter, and an image of the Prince from the original game.

It also turned out that it will be possible to play the remake on the PlayStation 5 with the Xbox Series X and S, but only thanks to backward compatibility technology – there will not be a full version of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake for new consoles.

The modernized Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is created from scratch on the Anvil engine (used in Assassin’s Creed) through the efforts of two internal Ubisoft studios – both located in India.

The remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time promises to update the graphics and animations, as well as refresh the combat system and controls. In addition, the game will have the ability to unlock the original 1989 Prince of Persia.
