Ubisoft awards AAAA status to four of its games, including Beyond Good & Evil 2 and Skull & Bones

A Twitter user under the pseudonym Timur222 drew attention to the fact that in the resume of some Ubisoft employees on the LinkedIn website, four upcoming games of the publisher are attributed to AAAA status.

Two projects from the AAAA quartet of the French publishing house are already known to the public – the long-suffering action-adventure Beyond Good & Evil 2 and the equally problematic pirate action movie Skull & Bones.

Between themselves, Beyond Good & Evil 2 and Skull & Bones connect the protracted production cycle (respectively, increased costs) and the emphasis on the online component.

The third AAAA game is in the Ubisoft Bordeaux portfolio, and the fourth is in Ubisoft Berlin. The latter helps in the development of Far Cry 6, but the new part of the shooters in the open world has already been dubbed an AAA-class project.

In addition to Ubisoft, Microsoft is also aiming for AAAA territory: the upcoming Forza Motorsport and the debut project of The Initiative studio ( rumored to be a new part of Perfect Dark) are regarded by the American platform holder as just that.

What exactly, in addition to the large (even by the standards of the modern industry) volume of funds allocated for development, the AAAA-class assumes, is unknown: not a single game of this kind has come out so far.

As a reminder, Ubisoft plans to hold the second edition of its Ubisoft Forward news show on September 10 this year. The show is expected to show Immortals Fenix Rising and an unconfirmed remake of Prince of Persia.
