PS5 has been criticized for the choppy process of transferring saves to Marvel’s Avengers
The PlayStation 5’s cross-gen work has been criticized again this week. Owners of Marvel’s Avengers have learned that they will need to manually transfer their saves from PlayStation 4 to the current generation version of the project. On Twitter, the official Marvel’s Avengers account shared the steps that PlayStation 5 players will need to transfer their data.
Users will have to install and update the PlayStation 4 version on the PlayStation 5. Then they will see the “transfer saves” tab in the main menu of the game. The progress data will then be sent to the Marvel’s Avengers server, and when the PlayStation 5 version of the project is launched, you will be prompted to download it. Therefore, if you have already deleted the PS4 version of the game, you will have to download it again (over 50 GB) to transfer the save.
The process is similar to other games that are available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. However, in Marvel’s Avengers, owners of the latest console from Sony were especially enraged, given that the saves are transferred to the Xbox Series X and S without unnecessary manipulation.
Also, many users have encountered problems transferring saves, such as Forbes journalist Paul Tassi.
Marvel’s Avengers is out on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X & S, and PlayStation 5.
