SpaceX is a private company, and therefore we rarely hear about any of its financial performance. However, now we have a report from The Wall Street Journal that covers the first quarter of this year.

SpaceX has become profitable.

This quarter was profitable for SpaceX. The company’s revenue amounted to 1.5 billion dollars, and the profit reached 55 million dollars. It’s unclear if this is SpaceX’s first profitable quarter or not, but the company ended at least last year with a $559 million loss on $4.6 billion in revenue. In 2021, losses were about twice as high and revenues were about half as much.

Unfortunately, there are no details about how SpaceX came to profitability and how things are going in different areas of the company’s business.
