PT Won’t Launch on PlayStation 5 by “Publisher Decision”

PT, a game teaser for the horror film Silent Hills from Kojima Productions, is prized by PlayStation 4 owners as it cannot be downloaded from the PlayStation Store. And while the PlayStation 5 is due next week, it looks like those looking to keep PT won’t want to part with their PS4.

Last month, it was speculated that PT would be available on PlayStation 5 for backward compatibility. The embargo on the publication of console reviews expired today, and journalists revealed that PT cannot currently be launched on PS5, although it was possible at some point.

Polygon and GamesRadar wanted to make sure that PT works on the PlayStation 5. It turned out that at an early stage of the preparation of the reviews, the console allowed you to transfer the Silent Hills game teaser from the PlayStation 4 and run it on a new system. However, this has changed. GamesRadar reported that a message is now displayed during the transfer of the project: “You cannot use this game or app on PS5 .

Polygon stated the same. According to the journalists of the publication, at the end of October, PT was still working on the PlayStation 5 but then stopped.

The reason for this is the publisher’s decision. Recall that Konami canceled the development of Silent Hills back in 2015.
