PUBG Mobile has a sequel: the futuristic PUBG: New State announced

Krafton has announced the multiplayer mobile shooter PUBG: New State. This is the full sequel to PUBG Mobile, coming to Android and iOS this year. Pre-registration is already open on Google Play and will soon be available on the App Store.

The action of PUBG: New State will unfold in 2051. The game will offer a map called Troi and completely new locations to explore. The project will be executed in a futuristic setting, affecting several new mechanics and gadgets, not in PUBG Mobile.

The trailer features a deployable hideout, drone-delivered loot, Tron-style bikes, and other futuristic vehicles. Krafton said the new weapon kits “transform weapons” when picked up, changing their stats, firing mode, and appearance, which is another interesting new mechanic in the PUBG universe.
