Published a general photo of gaming NVIDIA Ampere, from which the huge difference in the size of video cards became clear

A photo has appeared on the Web, in which all three video cards of the NVIDIA Ampere series in Founders Edition versions are captured side by side. It lets you see just how massive the flagship RTX 3090 really is, compared to the rest of NVIDIA’s latest family of GPUs, unveiled by Jensen Huang last week.

Incidentally, this is also the first photo showing an actual RTX 3070 model in the flesh – the only graphics card not based on the GA102 GPU. Its release will be delayed until next month, but it will be the most affordable of the three presented.

The GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card (pictured left) is a massive 3-slot design with a length of 31.3 cm. This card is also much wider than the other two models (13.8 cm). For comparison: the smallest video card is shorter by almost 7 centimeters (24.2 cm).

Dimensions for GeForce RTX 30 video cards:

  • GeForce RTX 3090: 13.8 x 31.3 cm, 3 slots;
  • GeForce  RTX 3080; 11 x 28.5 cm, 2 slots;
  • GeForce  RTX 3070: 11.2 x 24.2 cm, 2 slots.

The GeForce RTX 3080 will be released first on September 17th. Next comes the RTX 3090, and only then the GeForce RTX 3070.
