Mac Studio on M2 Ultra starts at $4,000
In addition to reviews of the new MacBook Air 15, today the media, along with bloggers, also published reviews of Mac Studio on the new SoC M2 Ultra. Unlike a laptop, where we have been familiar with the SoC M2 for a long time, in this case we are interested in the tests of the new platform, because the rest of the PC has remained the same.
Published tests of the new PC Apple
The M2 Ultra has indeed become noticeably faster than the M1 Ultra, although the gain is highly dependent on the software. For example, in Pugetbench Premier Pro, the new Apple platform is not only about 20% faster than the M1 Ultra, but it is also almost identical to a PC with a Core i9-13900K and RTX 4090, that is, the best that is on the market in this segment.
In Davinci Resolve, the new Apple is even faster, albeit slightly.
But in the Blender Core i9-13900K, together with the RTX 4090, they are not just unattainable, but outperform the M2 Ultra by about four times! Also, a regular flagship PC is several times faster than the M2 Ultra in games. Still, the GPU in the new Apple platform in this area is still extremely far from the flagship video cards.
