This SoC is set to debut in the Honor 50
Qualcomm has officially announced a new SoC called the Snapdragon 778G 5G, which is manufactured using a 6nm manufacturing process. The Honor 50 is expected to be the first Snapdragon 778G 5G smartphone.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G Mobile Platform features Arm Cortex-A78 2.4GHz processor cores and Adreno 642L GPU, which provides support for Vulkan 1.1, OpenGL 3S 3.1, OpenCL 2.0 FP, HDR10 + and HDR10.
Snapdragon 778G 5G phones will support Full HD + screens with 144Hz refresh rate, up to 10-bit color depth and Rec2020 color gamut. The platform is powered by the Hexagon 770 AI processor. It is powered by Snapdragon Elite Gaming technology for maximum gaming performance.
The Snapdragon 778G features a Spectra 570 triple 14-bit image processor that supports single cameras up to 192MP. Dual cameras with resolutions up to 36 and 22 megapixels, as well as triple cameras with image sensors up to 22 megapixels. The mobile platform supports 10-bit HEIF / HEIC photo shooting, AI-based autofocus, multi-frame noise reduction, 720p slow motion video at 240 fps, HDR10, HDR10 + and HLG.
The SoC is powered by a Snapdragon X53 5G modem that supports a peak download speed of 3.3Gbps. The SoC supports 5G mmWave, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, USB 3.1, and USB-C. Also supports Quick Charge 5 fast charging technology.
