On Metacritic ( PC ), Amnesia: Rebirth scores 84 based on 20 reviews. As for the PS4 variant, the situation is slightly worse with it – 75 points and 11 reviews. Below are excerpts from materials from various publications.

DualShockers (90 points out of 100): “Spiral towers, endless deserts and impossible [in reality] objects; Frictional Games’ return with Amnesia: Rebirth shows why these developers are considered masters of horror

PC Gamer (91 out of 100): “A brilliant horror story, even though the adventure feels a little dated

We Got This Covered (70 out of 100): “Amnesia: Rebirth is a pretty engaging adventure for fans of the genre. And while it is better than its predecessors in some respects, the fact that the game cannot fully live up to the narrative ideals of SOMA and the horror of The Dark Descent makes it a little more forgettable

Push Square (40 out of 100): “With a few elements that Amnesia: Rebirth do well, there are many reasons to think that Frictional Games is stuck in 2010. This hide-and-seek style has long since ceased to be promoted, and the project does nothing to lessen the frustration of it. It’s hard to say, but after the fantastic SOMA from the Swedish studio, it might not be worth going back to what she thinks she does best
