It used RGB backlight
Realme has only recently entered the TV market but is already preparing its “world’s first” product. The company unveiled the world’s first SLED 4K TV.
Realme is preparing the world’s first 4K smart TV with a new type of screen. The company called such a screen SLED.
In this case, it’s not just some kind of marketing brand. SLED is a new type of screen, although not completely. This is a backlit LCD panel, just not blue as is often the case.
SLED technology implies the use of RGB backlighting, which, according to the statement of Realme itself, reduces the harmful effects of blue, and also provides a cleaner color reproduction. In particular, Realme promises 108% coverage of the NTSC color space.
Of the rest, we only know about the 55-inch panel and the fact that the TV will be “smart”, which is quite expected. Apparently, Realme will position such a TV as a competitor to models with QLED panels, but probably significantly cheaper. However, there is no data at all about the price, as well as about the date of the start of sales. Today’s announcement is formal.
