Realme showed the smartphone 8 Pro and spoke about its 108-megapixel camera

The fast-growing Chinese brand Realme hosted the Camera Innovation Event, at which they talked about their first smartphone equipped with a multi-module camera with a 108-megapixel sensor.

We are talking about one of the devices of the Realme 8 series, the announcement of which will take place shortly. The released images show that the device’s camera is equipped with four optical modules, organized in the form of a 2 × 2 matrix.

A key component of this system is the Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor with 108 million pixels. Formation of images with a resolution of up to 12,000 × 9,000 pixels is possible; Supports 4K video recording at 120fps.

Super PD fast phase-detection AF system implemented. The Nona-Binning function combines nine pixels into one. Besides, 3x zoom without loss of quality is mentioned.

In addition to these capabilities, Realme has implemented several proprietary tools. This, in particular, the Starry Mode for astrophotography, several modes for shooting portraits (Neon Portrait, Dynamic Bokeh Portrait, AI Color Portrait), etc.

We add that the new family of smartphones will include the basic version of the Realme 8 and the more powerful version of the Realme 8 Pro. The price has not yet been disclosed.
