Redmi K40 on the Snapdragon 775 platform will be released by the end of the year
The data source is a well-known digital chat station informant in Weibo who is very knowledgeable in industry matters. Previously, he had repeatedly noted many truthful “plums”, in particular, he correctly predicted the presence of embedded single cameras in the models’ Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. So you can trust him.
So, according to the informant, Redmi K40 will be released in the fourth quarter of this year, that is, not earlier than October. This model will be built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 SoC (aka SM7350). And in the first quarter of next year, the top-end Redmi K40 Pro based on the Snapdragon 875 will be released. It will be more expensive, but it will turn out to be better in terms of features, although being the flagship budget, the Redmi K40 Pro is unlikely to receive 100 W charging and expensive eight-element optics.
