The company is in no hurry to make excuses
After it became known that Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 8, and Redmi Note 8 Pro and eight more Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones will not receive Android 11, offended users began to actively express their disappointment on social networks.
Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 8 Pro users are furious with Xiaomi’s decision to leave them without Android 11
Recall that in early August, an unofficial list of Xiaomi and Redmi devices that will receive an update to the fresh Android 11 operating system became public.
At the same time, hits such as Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 8, and Redmi Note 8 Pro are marked as devices that will not receive Android 11. Smartphones left without hope for Android 11 are not old at all and users could well expect to receive an update.
Frustrated users began to complain in the official Mi Community, urging Xiaomi to be ashamed and citing Korean Samsung as an example, which has promised three years of Android updates for many of its smartphones.
We can only hope that the list is unofficial and the company will still release an OS update for a wider range of models. However, Xiaomi representatives are in no hurry to deny the information and do not respond to complaints in the community.
