The Redmi sub-brand of Xiaomi is set to hold an event on November 26, which will present several new products at once, including the new series of smartphones Redmi Note 9. A few days before the presentation, the base model Redmi Note 9 5G was spotted in the Geekbench database. The device is model number M2007J22C and is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 800U platform.

In tests of single-core and multi-core performance, the novelty scored 598 and 1793 points, respectively. The device runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10, is powered by an eight-core processor with 5G support and a Mali G57 graphics core, and is equipped with 8 GB of RAM.

According to the latest data, Redmi can present three versions of this device at once: Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 9 5G, and also a variant with 4G support. The older model Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is credited with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor.

As the resource Gizchina points out, the Redmi Note 9 5G and Note 9 Pro 5G models have already appeared on the JD.com online store. According to the sellers, both devices will go on sale on the day of the presentation. Unfortunately, Chinese retailers have not yet indicated the price for them. According to rumors, the Redmi Note 9 5G received a 6.53-inch display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. The model will be presented in two versions – with 128 and 256 GB of permanent memory.

In both cases, support for microSD cards will be provided. Also, the novelty is credited with a quad camera with a 48-megapixel main sensor. The front side of the device houses a 13-megapixel camera. The smartphone is credited with a 4900 mAh battery. Weighing 200 grams, the device measures 161.96 x 77.25 x 9.20 mm.
