Recall that the updated version of “Sands of Time” was supposed to be released on January 21 of this year, but a month and a half before the scheduled premiere, the release was postponed to March 18.

As it turned out, the developers do not have time to finish the game by March. Moreover, the new delay became more serious than the first – now, the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time does not even have an approximate release date.

In their address regarding the announcement, the developers explained that the extra time would allow the teams to release a remake that is “fresh while remaining true to the original’s spirit

“We understand this news may have come as a surprise and will continue to keep you updated on the progress of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake. In the meantime, we want to thank you for your support, ”concluded Ubisoft.

Recall that the first and so far the only demonstration of the updated Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was harshly criticized due to the controversial visual component. However, the developers themselves denied problems with graphics.

Modernized Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is being created for PC (Uplay, Epic Games Store), PS4, and Xbox One. The remake will run in backward compatibility mode on current-generation consoles.
