The insider Paras Guglani has managed to get his hands on some preview information, especially on the model codes of the international variants of ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate which are expected to be, respectively, AI2205_A and AI2205_E. They shouldn’t be the only components of a range which, following in the footsteps of the current models, could also be declined in different variants, therefore ROG Phone 7D and ROG Phone 7D Ultimate.
ROG Phone 7 series, first rumor on specific milestones and model codes
According to Guglani’s sources, the presentation of the ROG Phone 7 series should fall within the third quarter, therefore between July and September, in line with what happened last year for the ROG Phone 6: early July for the 6 and 6 Pro, mid-September for 6D and 6D Ultimate, net of special editions that arrived at different times.
The presence of products of this type of Qualcomm‘s best chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, is taken for granted, and the use of MediaTek’s top-of-the-range, the Dimensity 9200, is also probable.
