The Federal Air Transport Agency issued an additional type certificate to PJSC Il, which provides for an increase in the service life of the An-148-100 aircraft and its modifications from 10 to 30 years.

“ In connection with the unilateral refusal of the holder of the type certificate – “ANTK named after O.K. Antonov” (Ukraine) – from its obligations as a developer in relation to the above aircraft, work to confirm the possibility of increasing the service life of aircraft registered in the State Register of Civil aircraft of the Russian Federation, promptly implemented by PJSC “Il” as a developer of the modification ,” the Federal Air Transport Agency said in a statement. The department added that the results of the certification work performed allow the An-148-100 aircraft, which are operated by several Russian civil aviation airlines, to continue flying.
Recall that the An-148 is a Ukrainian regional medium-haul narrow-body passenger aircraft. Its operation began in 2009.
