It is reported that the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will use the GA102-250-KD-A1 GPU. In fact, it is a modification of the GA102-300 chip, which is the basis for the flagship of the Ampere series of video cards – the GeForce RTX 3090. Like the latter, the GPU of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti video card will receive 10496 CUDA cores. At the same time, it is indicated that the video memory of the GDDR6X video card will be 20 GB, and the memory bus width will be 320 bits instead of 384 bits for the GeForce RTX 3090.

According to a Taiwanese source, the  GeForce RTX 3080 Ti uses a PG133 SKU 15 PCB (the same used by the regular version of the GeForce RTX 3080). Interestingly, this information was previously reported by several resources at once, including the trustworthy network informant  kopite7kimi. According to the Chinese resource HKEPC, the declared power consumption level of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti video card will be the same 320 W as the regular GeForce RTX 3080 model. The novelty will not receive support for the NVLink interface.

For the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, the price is predicted to be $ 999. In terms of the price/performance ratio, the newcomer will become much more attractive than the flagship GeForce RTX 3090, the recommended cost of which is $ 1499. The high price of the latter with a relatively small performance advantage over the regular GeForce RTX 3080 model makes it less interesting compared to the flagship model Radeon RX 6900 XT with a recommended price tag of $ 999.
