Rumors: Persona 5 Coming To Xbox Game Pass

Windows Central editor Jez Corden and XboxEra podcast host Nick Baker, better known as Special Ed, have hinted that Persona 5 has entered the Xbox Game Pass library.

It all started with a message from Twitter user HazzadorGamin, who, on March 15, expressed the hope that Xbox players will soon be able to join the Persona series in general and Persona 5 in particular.

The next day, Corden tweeted HazzadorGamin with a smiling emoji, and Baker, a day later, recalled his February approval to expand the Sega game catalog on Microsoft’s subscription service.

In particular, on February 3 of this year, Special Ed said in his microblog: “It looks like Yakuza is not the only popular Sega franchise that Microsoft is trying to drag into Game Pass

Baker accompanied his message with a slightly modified concept art of the original Persona 5. In the modified image, the Xbox logo (for some reason, the Xbox 360) hovers in front of the game’s protagonist.

Persona has taken a course towards multi-platform in recent years – in 2020, and Persona 4 Golden made its debut on PC. In 2021, Persona 5 Strikers was released immediately on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

Xbox Game Pass, in turn, also began to attract projects seemingly uncharacteristic of Microsoft’s catalog, such as the Yakuza series of games or Octopath Traveler, the former exclusive Nintendo Switch.
