Rumors: Two unofficial screenshots from the debut trailer of the new Battlefield leaked online
A Reddit user under the pseudonym FeeAdministrative666 drew attention to two screenshots published by an unknown forum member back in mid-April from what appears to be the debut trailer of the new Battlefield.
The authenticity of the images mentioned in the personal microblog was confirmed by the insider Tom Henderson, who specializes in disclosing information about the Electronic Arts and DICE military shooters series.
It is noteworthy that literally two days before the publication of the footage by a Reddit user, Henderson posted on Twitter two sketches of the same scenes that appeared in the screenshots.
The first image shows a bird’s-eye (helicopter) flight of the island, at the far end of which a rocket is launched; the second is a view from the cockpit of a helicopter flying to the cosmodrome.
Both footages were taken from the upcoming debut trailer for the new Battlefield, Henderson said. The video’s events allegedly unfold on the territory of the Tanegashima Space Center – the largest cosmodrome in Japan.
Henderson added that the screenshots released were most likely taken via Zoom or at low connection speeds, which might explain their poor quality. According to the insider, waiting for the official news will not belong anyway.
Recall that the announcement of the upcoming Battlefield will take place before the end of May, and the game itself will be released in the fourth quarter of this year. Judging by the recent appeal from DICE, the shooter will only appear on PC and next-generation consoles.
