AMD has made the HIP SDK available to enable Nvidia CUDA support for various AMD GPUs.
The solution actually helps port CUDA applications to a simplified C++ codebase that can be compiled to run more easily on AMD GPUs (and beyond). At the same time, the SDK works not only on professional adapters, but also on gaming Radeons and even on iGPUs in hybrid processors.
Run Nvidia CUDA enabled applications on graphics cards and even Radeon iGPUs.
The list of supported solutions is as follows:
- Radeon VII
- Radeon RX Vega Series
- Radeon RX 5000 Series
- Radeon RX 6000 Series
- Radeon RX 7000 Series
- Radeon Pro WX 9100
- Radeon Pro W6000 Series
The SDK is part of the ROCm ecosystem. To work, you need to install the driver Radeon Software 21.12.1 or Radeon PRO Software 21.Q4 for Windows and Radeon Software 22.10 or ROCm 5.3 for Linux.
