It is the best in its class, but only available in the US
The Ryzen 5 5600X3D gaming processor will go on sale tomorrow, however, only on the Micro Center network. But you can understand whether it is needed now, since the first review of this CPU has appeared on the Web.
As you can see from the charts, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D does really well in games. In Full HD, it outperforms the Ryzen 5 7600X, and the increase relative to the Ryzen 5 5600X reaches an impressive 30%! The Core i5-13400, which is very close to the Ryzen 5 5600X3D in price, is also very far behind. And the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which is very popular in its segment, is only 5% ahead of its younger brother – with a price difference of about 40%.
Ryzen 5 5600X3D shows what it can do in first review
At 1440p, as usual, the CPU dependence of games decreases, so the difference between the CPUs is not so high, but in general, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D still maintains its position relative to competitors.
Simply put, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D is the best gaming processor in its price segment, and not only in its price range. The authors at Tom’s Hardware sum it up by stating that this CPU has exceptional gaming performance.
But that’s just in games. In normal tasks, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D is not as good as expected. Actually, it almost completely repeats the Ryzen 5 5600X, but the new product is almost one and a half times more expensive, and the difference with the Ryzen 5 5600 is close to double. The 3D V-Cache in most common applications either does not provide any gain, or provides a minimal one. So such CPUs are good for games.
