Pandemic-driven demand surge will continue for several more quarters
More than 37.5 million PC monitors were sold in the third quarter of this year. This figure exceeded analysts’ expectations. It not only matches the growth of 15.9% in annual terms but is also the largest in the last eight years. Such data is contained in the IDC report. Analysts believe that the surge in demand caused by the pandemic will continue for several more quarters.

Dell is the largest supplier for the quarter. However, contrary to the industry trend, this manufacturer reduced sales from 6.483 to 6.359 million units, that is, by 1.9%. As a result, its share decreased from 20.0% to 16.9%.
TPV is in second place. Over the year, it increased deliveries from 4.742 to 5.679 million units, that is, by 19.3. This led to an increase in the TPV share from 14.6% to 15.1%.
The third place is taken by HP, whose share for the year decreased from 14.6% to 12.6%. Next comes Lenovo. The share of the Chinese manufacturer decreased over the year, from 11.6% to 10.6%. And Samsung closes the top five. The South Korean giant increased its share from 6.8% to 9.0% in a year. The total share of all other manufacturers is 35.8%. A year ago it was 32.3%.
