Mass production began
Dayun’s Yuanhang Y6 large electric sedan, which was unveiled recently, has started rolling off production lines in China and is getting ready to go on sale. Sales will begin at the Guangzhou Auto Show with prices ranging from $45,300 to $72,800.
The car, with a range of 1020 km, will compete with Voyah Passion and Nio ET7. This is Dayun’s first step into the high-end electric vehicle segment
Dayun is a company part of the Shanxi Tongda Group that has been producing scooters since 1999. In 2009, Dayun began producing and selling commercial vehicles. Since 2020, Dayun has been selling passenger vehicles in the low-cost segment. The company’s lineup includes two electric vehicles and a gasoline pickup truck. Around 20,000 units will be sold in 2022. Last year, Dayun launched a high-quality brand of new energy vehicles called Yuanhang.
Mass production of the Yuanhang Y6 sedan has started at the Dayun plant, which also assembles low-cost electric cars such as the Yuanzhi M1 and Yuehu. Previously, Dayun received a sales license from the Chinese regulator and is ready to launch sales.
Sales of the huge Yuanhang Y6 sedan are about to start in China
Dayun’s Yuanhang Y6 is based on the BHD architecture developed jointly with Bosch and Huawei. Its dimensions are 5270 x 2000 x 1500 mm with a wheelbase of 3130 mm.
The Yuanhang Y6 has five seats, a 17.38-inch screen, a 70-inch head-up display and 19 speakers. This sedan is available with five powertrain options:
Rear-wheel drive, 340 hp, battery 88.42 kWh, range 720 km (CLTC);
Rear-wheel drive, 340 hp, 100 kWh battery, cruising range 810 km (CLTC);
All-wheel drive, 680 hp, battery 88.42 kWh, range 620 km (CLTC);
Rear-wheel drive, 680 hp, 100 kWh battery, cruising range 720 km (CLTC);
Rear-wheel drive, 707 hp, 150 kWh battery, cruising range 1020 km (CLTC).
