It costs $6400
On November 14, the third generation Wuling Hongguang Mini EV Macaron, priced at $6,400, produced by SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) in collaboration with SmileyWorld, officially entered the Chinese market. Both the exterior and interior have been updated for the new car.
Five body colors are offered, the car received oval headlights and lanterns, original wheels. The body has dimensions of 3064 × 1493 × 1614 mm and a wheelbase of 2010 mm, and there are four seats in the cabin.
Power is supplied by a 40 hp rear permanent magnet synchronous motor. and a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 17.3 kWh, which provides a range of 215 km. The maximum speed is 100 km/h. Both DC fast charging and AC slow charging are supported. With DC fast charging, you can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% in 35 minutes. It takes five hours to charge from 20% to 100% using slow AC charging. The new car also comes standard with battery heating and insulation options.
Sales of the new Wuling Hongguang MINI have started
Two interior color options are available: Milk Toffee and Brownie Black. An 8-inch control screen is installed in the center, Bluetooth and USB are provided. The interior features 15 storage spaces, including eight storage compartments, two cup holders, two hooks, two pockets and one mesh pocket.
In addition, the second row seats can be folded individually. The trunk volume can reach 734 liters after folding all the second row seats.
Since its launch in July 2020, Hongguang MINI EV’s cumulative sales have reached more than one million units. Specifically, from January to September this year, cumulative sales were about 170,000 units, accounting for nearly 30% of the mini car market in China.
