It is noted that in the period from January to June inclusive, revenue from the sale of 5G devices reached $ 34 billion. This segment is growing rapidly, despite the pandemic and a difficult economic situation.

The leader in terms of revenue in the 5G smartphone market in the first half of 2020 was the Galaxy S20 +. It accounted for about 9% of the total revenue in the indicated segment.

The second place was taken by the Galaxy S20 Ultra with 8%, while the “bronze” went to the Galaxy S20 with 5%. Thus, the three Samsung together occupied approximately 22% of the 5G smartphone market.

The fourth and fifth places are occupied by the Huawei P40 Pro 5G and Huawei Mate 30 5G devices with a result of slightly less than 5% each.

Analysts predict that in the second half of this year, the palm in the 5G smartphone market will most likely be intercepted by the iPhone 12, the first Apple devices with support for fifth-generation mobile communications.
