Samsung Galaxy S21 with Snapdragon 888 chip passed certification in the USA with charger included

About a month is left before the official presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S21 family of smartphones. The closer this event is, the more information appears about new products. Official teasers of the devices leaked to the Network yesterday. Earlier, there was information that smartphones, most likely, will be delivered without chargers. Today one of the Galaxy S21 models has been spotted in the FCC database.

In particular, we are talking about the model Galaxy S21 (SM-G991U) based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. When Qualcomm officially unveiled the Snapdragon 888 chipset, Samsung was not on the list of companies that will use the new mobile processor. The resulting FCC certification confirms the opposite. The device is listed in the documents with the SM8350 chipset, which is the model number of this processor. By the way, smartphones with this processor can only be found in the United States and several other regions. The international version of the devices will receive a Samsung Exynos 2100 chip.

The documents also indicate that the Galaxy S21 will receive support for millimeter-wave broadband (mmWave) communication networks of the fifth-generation (5G), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, as well as 9W reversible wireless charging. The battery is also mentioned, but the document does not indicate its capacity. Nevertheless, the leaks are attributed to the device with a 4000 mAh battery.

Despite early statements, the document contains registration details for charger model number EP-TA800. We will find out whether the Galaxy S21  series smartphones will actually ship without chargers on January 14, when the new items will be officially presented.
