Samsung is preparing the first “affordable” smartphone with a flexible display

Currently, the cost of Samsung smartphones with a flexible screen is very high: for example, the price of the Galaxy Z Flip shown in the images in Russia is 119,990 rubles. But soon, according to network sources, the South Korean giant may present an “affordable” device with a flexible design.

The upcoming device appears under the code SM-F415, where “F” indicates the presence of a flexible screen. The already presented flexible smartphones Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Z Flip, and Galaxy Z Fold 2 are coded respectively SM-F900, SM-F700, and SM-F916.

Unfortunately, there is little information about the SM-F415 model. It is said that it will be available in versions with a flash drive with a capacity of 64 and 128 GB. Buyers will be able to choose between at least three color options – black, green, and blue.

According to rumors, the price of new items will be significantly less than $ 1000 – perhaps $ 600-700. To keep the cost down, Samsung will have to use mid-range hardware components. But the emergence of such a device could be the beginning of the era of flexible smartphones for the mass market.
