It’s not clear exactly how

It looks like Samsung smartwatches will learn to measure the temperature of various objects, not just the skin. The company introduced several new apps for its watches today, including the Thermo Check software.

Thermo Check will just allow watch owners to measure the temperature of objects. Samsung says users will be able to measure the temperature of food or water, for example.

The app will initially be available for future Galaxy Watch6 smartwatches, and will later appear on the current Watch5. At the same time, it is unclear whether there will be differences in software capabilities for different models.

How the watch will measure the temperature of the same water or something else is not very clear. Watch5 has a skin temperature sensor. Perhaps it will be he who will be involved, but this means that the watch will have to be removed from the hand and at least brought closer (or even leaned) to the object whose temperature the user wants to measure.
